Apple iPad does not sync with ubuntu 10.04

I am using iPad from past couple of months. Currently I have installed Ubuntu 10.04 on the computer. Well I noticed that iPad did not seems to sync with system. As I am adding any song on the device it did not show up at all. Can you tell me why the above mentioned issue is happening?

Looking at the matter I am saying that you should use libimobiledevice. It will allow you to managed the installed applications and sync music and videos between the device. It is mainly designed to sync the device with the Linux based computers.

As far as I know the iPad is using new version of Apple database for the purpose of storing of files. They have used new hash and I don’t think so there is fault of the Linux developers. However we need to wait till the developer would address the issue and release the patch to get the requirement of yours.

I was using iTunes 9.2.x on Virtual box and it was not working at all. However I updated my system with the iTunes 10 and everything started to work fine again. the performance is bit slow. I purchased a new album and sync with the iPad of mine in Virtual Box. Also I am running latest version of Virtual Box on the computer of mine. but I am wondering that many of the bugs has been fixed on iTunes 10.

In this particular situation I am suggesting that you should go for usbmuxd. it is used for the proxy requests over the USB cable which is listening through the TCP port on the apple device connected. You can get the above mentioned software from the official site.
