sd card drain battery a lot in Samsung Galaxy Note.

I am using Samsung Galaxy note from two 1 month it is very nice phone. Just notice that if I insert the SD card in my phone it drains battery a lot. Without SD card my battery drain is 30ma but when I insert sd card then it increase to at least 70 or more than 70ma. I try different types and size of SD card but the result is same. Have I done something wrong or is it normal?

Same problem here,
When I use SD card in my Samsung Galaxy note then the battery grain is abnormal and fast. But when I remove my SD card then battery works fine. When I use SD card with my Galaxy note the battery life reduces to half. For me this is not a minor issue, it's not acceptable. Please provide solution for this.

I think this is not normal. Using SD card with your Galaxy note shouldn’t have any impact on your battery drain. This problem usually occurs in defective phone or because of any application. If the problem persists you should contact to service center.

Thanks but when I remove SD card from my Galaxy note my phone’s battery works normally. The battery life of my phone more but when I insert any SD card then my phone’s battery drain is a lot.
Is this because of my faulty SD card or there is fault in SD card slot pin of my Galaxy note mobile?

I have read on the internet that if remove SD card without unmounting the SD card, you have more battery drain. This extra battery drain stops when you do factory reboot.
So Unmount SD card before removing it from the Galaxy Note.

Thank you very much for the solution this works for me.
Now I unmount SD card before removing it from my phone. And when I insert it again the battery drains normally. Now the battery life is as same as without SD card.
For unmount SD card go to Menu/Settings/Storage/Unmount SD card.
