Wireless connection drops on HP Pavilion dv8t-1100

Hi, I am having HP Pavilion dv8t-1100 laptop and having issue with the wireless connection, but I am having issue with the wireless connection. See i have mentioned the seen issue with the machine, you can see it below.

- Wireless connection drops in and out randomly with the internal card.

- The wireless touch switch goes from blue to orange and back again.

- I can touch the switch and it will reconnect then randomly drop.

- Repairing the connection works then the connection drops again.

- Plugging in a USB wireless adapter the USB connection works normal.

Any suggestion for resolving this will be appreciated

Start with checking your laptop switch that would be at your bottom side-ways depends which brand you are using.

• Check if it's not loose and working properly, next thing you should look at is your device manager for any drivers, update it if required.
  
  
• Third place that you should be checking is (if two steps doesn't solve your problem) check your AD-Hoc connection, check if someone's using your Wireless
  
  
• Make sure it's password protected. Powercycle the Router (that would solve your majority of congestion)
  
  
• If any of the above steps doesn't work out, there are only two things left to do .. either Reset your router or contact your ISP

As mentioned above i would also recommend you the same thing like it would be better if you simply contact the ISP, because it could be possible as there could be some problem from their side. So they might give you the précised information about the same and in fact possible solution as well.

you should make sure whether all the setting on your machine is been configured perfectly, because when i was having issue with the machine at that time i came to know that there were some problem with the settings that i have configured only.

Thus if you don’t know how to make settings for the router than you should try to visit the official site of your product and see whether you are getting the same thing or not.

And as far as settings are concern i would like to recommend you that you should at least make this settings

• Lower the beacon interval from 100 to 50
  
  
• Lower the fragmentation threshold from 2346 to 2306
  
  
• Lower the RTS threshold from 2347 to 2304

• Right-click on "My Computer" and select "Properties"
  
  
• Select "Hardware" and click on "Device Manager"
  
  
• Find your wireless card under "Network adapters" and double-click it.
  
  
• Verify that there aren't any auto power management settings enabled that might be shutting your card down prematurely.

I don’t know exactly what could be the problem but still i would like to recommend you that you should try to update your router firmware and wireless card drivers.
