Sp49522 touchpad driver not working on 64-bit HP G42 Notebook

I am using HP G42 Notebook and I have recently installed windows 7 64-bit on it and I have downloaded Synaptics touchpad driver for sp49522 which was said to be compatible with the windows 7 64-bit but then after downloading it and then installing it, it is giving me a message saying that I will have to run 64-bit version of dpinst.exe on the laptop and it is telling me to contact the vendor for the same. Is there anyone who has faced the same and has an idea about it and can help me out? Any help regarding the same will be appreciated.

• XT868PA#UUF
• G42-376TX

I think that I had installed the right drivers for the same, just check it out and then let me know if I had done something wrong or not, any further help will be appreciated.

I think that you should try out this:

• File name: sp50688.exe
• System requirements: No additional prerequisites
• Released: 2010-11-05
• Version: 15.1.6.64

Even I need some help regarding the same, I have installed windows 7 64-bit on the HP G42-268LA and I have also updated the bios by downloading the required driver from the hp site and after installing it everything was working fine but then I have found that when I am pressing a key in the keyboard the cursors stops and after that when I stop press it then it starts moving again without any problem. I want to get rid of this because it is really making it difficult when I play any game. Is there who has an idea about the same? Any help regarding this will be appreciated.

Even I am having similar kind of problem but not exactly the same, I have recently bought a HP G4-1037 and I have also installed Synaptics version 15.0.7.0 on it and it is running windows 7 and the problem that I am facing is that the ON/OFF button on top left with indication light is not responding at all, it was working fine before installing the Synaptics version 15.0.7.0. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it several times but then it is just not making any difference, I am really running out of ideas. So any help to solve this issue out will be highly appreciated.
