Getting error with the Wi-Fi Tethering on Samsung Transform Ultra

Hello friends, I am using the Samsung Transform Ultra and I am using the Wi-Fi on the phone, but I am getting error while using the Wi-Fi on the phone, when I am using the Wi-Fi Tether then it shows me "Setting ad-hoc mode... failed" and if I use the Barnacle then shows me "WIFI: Could not set ad-hoc mode of eth0: Operation not permitted". So does anyone also getting the same problem and also what is the solution of the problem and how to solve it. Kindle tell me about it. Thank you.

The same problem was also faced by me and I was very much frustrated with the problem which I was using it. So I have download wireless tether 3.1 beta and then the problem was not been coming again and I was able to use the Wi-Fi and then it has worked as better for me.

I am not getting any problem with the Wi-Fi Tether and I am using the phone and also the Wi-Fi, I think it might be something problem with the network you using it, that might be the reason.

The problem is there with the Wi-Fi Tether and it does not works properly on the Samsung Transform Ultra phone, if you have rooted the phone then you will be not able to get the wireless tether 3.1 beta and also you have to set the phone back to the normal and then you try to download the wireless tether 3.1 beta and try to connect to the internet. My friend also has got the same problem which you have got and he has also rooted the phone. So I think that the problem will be due to the reason of the root of the phone. So you also have check omen that.

I think that you will be able to get the Wi-Fi working and also you will have to download the new wireless tether 3.1 beta for the phone and then you will be able to do the work and also you can access the internet of yours.

I have a method to avoid the error which are you getting it and also I think that it might work for you, the method is follows:

• Open Root Explorer (whichever root file manager you are using it)
• Navigate to /system
• Mount as R/W
• Press the build. Prop for long time
• Then open with and select Text editor
• Look for the line that looks like this: ro.tether.denied=true (It should be under the # WIFI label)
• If the value is =true, change it to =false
• Tap menu and tap to "save changes"
• Exit and reboot your phone
• Try wireless tether now

I hope it might work for you and also it might be enable you to use the Wi-Fi. Just give a try on the method which I have given to you.

I was also getting the same error which you are getting it and I was ignoring the message which I was used to get when connecting through the Wi-Fi Tether, but after ignoring the message I was able to use the internet and also was able to do the work. So I will also suggest you to do the same thing which I have tried and you will be able to work.

You can download the Wireless Tether from the android market and try it for yourself and also you will be able to get it done, if you are already have download it then I think it might be the reason of the network which is not enabling you to connect with it.

You should try to clean the setting of the Wi-Fi, which you have done it and try to do some of the SSID for the Wireless Tether, then I think that changing the settings might help you and also you will not get the error with the Wi-Fi Tether. So you better try it for you.
