unable to install Bios update A10 from Windows on Dell Latitude E6410

In Dell Latitude E6410, I'm trying to update to most recent bios from A07 to A10 (which was released last month). I downloaded the file and passed, although the installer does not begin. I observer a progress bar less than a second, Nevertheless that's all.Is there a record that could take a look to see what's going on? I would like to upgrade my bios.

I have the identical trouble.I observe that A09 must be installed first, Nevertheless when I attempt A09 does the same as described above .I tried to run from a DOS floppy boot and behaves the Identical. No errors, no messages, nothing.

Difficulty with bios file downloaded ,usually caused by the download manager. Skip the download manager and download the file straight forwardly. You might have to remove the manager through the elimination of all related cookies and reboot

Warning - if you do not have a superior cause to update the bios, do not. Check the compatibility information in the download page to observe if the update applies to you. Bios not installed can be a red flag that the team does not require.

    Try this:
    Code:
    Setup UNetbootin from synaptic
    generate a FreeDOS USB key.
Copy the exe BIOS update file to the USB key from inside ubuntu.
Reboot into BIOS setup and alter the boot order to boot from USB
Boot into a live dos session
The USB key will provide to install freedos on your hard disk.
    run the update

I tried the DOS boot method from USB.Result is the similar. I observe a progress bar and then quits with no fault or any note.Is there a conceal option (in the BIOS or the system itself as a bridge) that can avert the upgrade of execution?
