How to install Yahoo mail and some basic applications on Dell Streak 7?

Hi, I have bought dell streak 7 for myself and had some doubts regarding the device as which application should I install in the device and which are the good application that I can install in the device? I am not sure whether which version of operating system is working in the device and that’s why I am quite unaware about the compatibility of the application with the device. By the way the one which I have mentioned in the title, from where can I download it?

Exactly, I was also thinking the same thing as you are not actually aware about the operating system which is installed in your tablet but when I was searching about the same I came to know that in your tablet there is honeycomb running thus off course you can have very good applications for the device. If you wanted to check more about your device you can check it from here itself.

but still can you please mentioned which kind of application you are about to have? I mean to say do you have any personal preference for the same, and genre preference. It would be better if you specify this thing so that we can recommend you better.

though I am agree with the above user but still as far as yahoo mail concern you can download it from here.

and I think it would be better if you being aware as you can download all the application and games from the android market itself as this one is also from the same source.

No I don’t have any such preference for the same but still it was good to see a source at least from where I can download all such content for the phone. Because previously I was just unaware about all this facts. Thank for the suggestion you have made, now just please let me know what are the basic application that I should install and which will be better for me as a beginner.

See as you haven’t mentioned any such genre or something I have recommended some good application that you can download in your device from each categories.

Music players:

PowerAMP, WinAmp, doubleTwist Player, MixZing Media Player

Games:

Angry Birds Seasons, Apparatus, Bang Bang Racing THD, Galaxy on Fire 2 THD, Pinball HD, Riptide GP, World Series of Poker.

Applications:

Opera Browser, Social Media PhotoStory, PDF reader, Dropbox , NetFlix etc.

it was quite good to this much applications for the device but still when I Downloaded the yahoo mail, please let me know whether we need to make some additional settings or what for getting mails through that client?

No there isn’t any need of having any such settings in your device but still have you gotten the settings from your network operator, which is actually needed for running this applications as well. But still if suppose you are having problem with those automatic settings you can try the below mentioned manual settings as well.

Incoming Server - imap.mail.yahoo.com
Outgoing Server - smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Incoming Port - 993 (requires SSL)
Outgoing Port - 465 (requires SSL)
Username: full email address (yahoo ID)
Password: Yahoo! Password
