Why does Samsung Galaxy Nexus contain Pogo pins

I have seen that there are pogo pins on the side of Nexus phone. At first I have thought that it is made for simply but now it looks like it made for the support to dock or may be for some kind of device. Does anyone know about that device or dock which the galaxy nexus will be capable to connect to through those 3 metal connectors lying on the side of the mobile phone?

After Dock Station for the Nexus One comes the Car Dock. Certainly very useful for in Article using their Nexus with Android as a navigator.

Once you put it into this Nexus Dock, will be loaded automatically (thanks to the connectors below) application that allows Car Home quick access to Google Maps, Navigation, Search, and Vocal Music.

The rumors were around a lot and finally understand the benefit of those 3 small connectors next to the Micro USB port. The desktop docking station (the second one after that Android smartphone for Motorola Milestone) has finally appeared on the page of the technical features of the Nexus in the official page of Google. Once inserted, the phone in the dock will automatically start the application "Clock," from which you can:
    • Manage alarms
    • Start a slideshow with photos in SD
    • Start the music
    • Go to the home screen
    • Standby screen brightness to minimum levels

Moreover, in the dock there is a 3.5mm audio jack to connect the external stereo speakers.

The Dock is very simple and has a usb connector on the left to lock the phone, a 3.5 mm output for headphones in the back and a micro USB port for PC / Reload. The base is solid, well balanced and certainly is a very nice accessory, perhaps not very useful, but convenient to place the device on our desk. On sale from November on different channels at a price of 30 €.
