How to use Remote control in HP HDX16T 1200 SERIES notebook

Currently I am using the HP Notebook which is running with Windows 7 ultimate 64 bits. As you know that my laptop comes through a remote control to make use of windows media center and so on and simply wants to make use of the remote control except do not works. I have swapped over the battery but it dint work. Do you think that this remote really work?

To configure the laptop's remote control you have to download the appropriate drivers and programs that work with the control (Media Smart and DVD). Everything is on the HP official site.

The truth is, not whether it be your friend but if the case is new control as safe as it is not removed for security padlock in the stack does not have a plasticity that put order to isolate the battery if and to remove the battery can make contact and hope that your case is if not the truth good luck

I have not called HP yet. This very strange problem, actually I have a HP and the format (the same with Home Premium) without using the recovery CD and no problems with the remote control. Check whether the control has battery. But since I had looked times in the device manager if there is infrared. Then I tried it by myself: In the hardware wizard since I have found in the IR list. Unfortunately, quite a lot. Since I'm not all installed but only one with the name "Standard" and 2 others. After installing infrared in the device manager was listed.
