i5 vs. Macbook Pro Core Duo

I have really wanted to buy a 13 "MacBookPro, whether used or refurbished. My main inquiry is whether the latest version of microprocessors i5 makes a big difference compared to last year with the Core Duo.

There will be a significant difference, but I'm using the Macbook pro 2010 and I am happy with it.

There will be lot of difference. Speed will be better. Performance will be much faster. And I5 is more advanced to core duo. I suggest you should really get latest version i.e. I 7 with all latest hardware. SO that you don’t need to change your laptop for several years.

Whether or not a "no" significant difference for you depends on what you are doing with the computer.

For all tasks I do on my Mac, my Macbook Pro '06 is not "significantly" slower than my Macbook air 2011 with ssd the benchmarks is 65% faster.

The day a computer will not be able to run the software you want after the age 1-2 years 7-8 years disappeared around - apart from for 3D graphics concentrated things for which you necessitate a video card that can handle. For people with a strict budget, there is nothing incorrect with a C2D. Those who can have enough money to buy new, you should.
