New SanDisk Cruzer design Incompatible with Keychain

Last week I buy new branded 8GB SanDisk Cruzer pen drive. The design of this flash drive is really attractive but when I try to join my own keychain with this thumb drive then it makes incompatibility problem. The new design couldn’t be provide such kind of facility. This keychain contains the small metal rod which I want to insert it into the available flash drive slot but as per the design it couldn’t happen. I hope many user do such kind of task. Then please help me to do this simple task. Thanks in advance.
