Need help to flash LG KP500 - cookie

1. BACKUP --First off all you should make a backup of your phone files.
2. gsmulti firmware update
3. Install latest version of software and firmware
4. Connect your phone
5. to find you need usbmap program
6. Now do flashing

I am annoying to flash my KP500 and have followed the instruction closely by downloading and installing the required Dlls and firmware. Now I am at display where I connect my phone to the PC and am using the LG-GSM multi download software and as soon as I click start" I just acquire the "Wait phone connecting" message. Unable to pinpoint exact problem.

However I required taking a backup of V10b version prior to update. I could by no means acquire flash backup using methods described above. I don't think there is any concern with methods described. What I noticed was that the Flash Loader utility was loading and unloading on both Win XP and W2K on two dissimilar computers. I have no hint as to why this is occurring. Hope anybody will help me out as I have another phone with V10b from which I can take a backup

Give pleasure to note that LG PC suite worked perfectly with both the phones nevertheless I could never obtain even file explorer. All suggestion is welcome .

However I could never get EFS file explorer to observe KP500. It keeps connecting and disconnecting with a flashing message "waiting". might be the explorer does not distinguish KP500?! anybody to throw some light on this?

Just a heads up folks, handset still refuse to be detected for unlock once degraded flash applied we at rest still wait for solution. I don’t know when alternate method will be available.

I am also facing exactly similar difficulty. I m unable to flash my phone and it always get stuck.

I faced similar difficulty, and then changed PC and the whole thing was fine. May be some other driver of OS causing difficulty.

Some tip for usbmap program-

When you connect the phone to the PC, remain for the PC to detect it. And then a establish new-fangled hardware wizard possibly will come up. I unnoticed the hardware wizard and proceed with the usbmapping. as a result it got terminated and then I reconnect and then allowed to add new hardware to install the compulsory driver. Then I ran usbmap for couple of minute and then I was able to discover the port.

My hard drive is f not c, and can’t change, how do i put the files somewhere else as the browse option is not available.

Now I tell u that follow these steps to unlock ur KP_500_501_502

1. Just flash phone with well known software version.
2. Enter 2945#*71001#
3. Enter 00000000
4. Unlocked

Phone must be without sim card.

Almost all lg based phones are supported with this software. But need correct DLL and firmware for that certain model.
