Micro zoom lens for Nikon D90

I have just purchased the Nikon D90 with 18-105mm, a cool bag as well as a decent tripod. Now I am looking forward to buy lens for this. I don’t know which one to buy. My main purpose is to capture faces from the long distance. 18-105mm doesn't allow me do that. There for I am looking for Nikkor 55-300mm. but it seems to me little expensive. My main concern is zoom lens. I'm as well looking by the side of a micro!

Want the most affordable option, in my view is that the Nikon 300mm f4 AF-S with tc1.4 you have a 420mm f5.6 AF with functioning and good sharpness. This combination is much sharper than my Sigma 150-500 OS HSM. But you often do not allow 300mm. You never really enough to mm's bird photography

The choice depends upon the use intended purposes and goals he has already, if only for the macro: 105 or 90 for the simple reason that the working distance is greater (more practice for insects), for outdoor portraits in even the choice will be between the two because the focal length is more appropriate. However the 60 or 70 are more "versatile" and the 70 most dive, regarding the AF I think we should relativist the MAP macro is done manually, whether or not ultrasonic c is the same, two users of a 60 and a Canon 100 macro USM I have confirmed.

I already have a Sigma 400/5.6 15 years and will certainly not do away. That says enough about my satisfaction about this. Originally I used on an analog camera, and this gives well for bird photography. On my digital camera it's like I'm sitting on a 600mm lens (which is crop effect). The quality of the image is slightly better because only the best part is used.

If you really want to do the macro, forgets the zoom. There are sometimes "said macro" but did not really. To make true macro, it is a fixed focal dedicated to that. What will differentiate one from another macro lens is the ability to focus at close range, to see an adjustment ring AF longer which allows a precise focus.

In macro, use a tripod also helps things. This helps to reduce vibration / movement and stabilize the distance between the lens and the subject. Zonne The sharpness is very short in macro and therefore any movement back and forth will cause the sharpness does not shake in the right place. There are some optical macro not too expensive and good qualities as the Tamron 90mm, the 50mm Nikon, the Nikon 85mm. You should soon reach good results with an optical specialist.

Nikon Macro lenses with a reproduction ratio of 1:1 and excellent optics. Have the Nikon 105mm VR and am very satisfied. 60mm I would be too short. he Sigma 150mm is very good. Think, because you need but stand in any case.If you spend a little more perspective I would recommend Full Frame that probably will last longer over time and will change even when you use the camera body.
