Whats the blackberry mobile phone model do you own? Normally, I have heard that you need the SPC code for this and it is different from a regular mep code to unlock the sim card. Try #<space>#000000 and reset the number and click save and see what happens, whether it is accepting this code or not, it will tell you.

Thank for reply. I own BB 9630 Tour. I purchased it from an online shopping site. Now I want to use it with Reliance/Tata Indicom but not able to do so. Airtel works well with the handset. Also the "activation required" shows on the home screen. i tried the solution provided by you, but it says "invalid password". Can you suggest any other solution?

If you are using an unlocked sprint and have "Activation Required" on your home screen or your phone number displays incorrectly, Dial ## 108181 (Send). In the Menu add your phone number and select save. The device will reboot and activate. You can also use crackutils (for same search in google) and needs service book from Airtel.
