Error 1015-iphone

My iPhone 3G is broke so I ordered a used one line and did not realize it was released. I've never had an unlocked phone and have no attention in having one. So when I got the phone I had just "removed all data" and restore the phone. Huge fault. Now the phone does not start and when I try to restore I get an error 1015. I just wish for a regular 3G, unjailbroken. Is this achievable? What I supposed to do? I have no knowledge with this so if you have any suggestion, give pleasure to write it in detail. Also, not convinced if it makes a difference, but the computer I am trying to restore a mac.

I am supposed to add that, depending on how the phone was unlocked, by no means be capable to restore the iPhone firmware to the same value.

You can attempt the DFU recovery mode, although it can’t work. Many get permanently brick jail broken phones. Upgrade the version of iTunes. Connect your phone toward usb port on computer. Press both home and sleep button for exactly 10 seconds, then push Home alone in anticipation of iTunes see phone in make progress mode. Reinstate Now.

Error 1015 will not work with this.

If not, why did Apple say the following:

"Error 1015:This error is caused by attempts to lower the iPhone, the iPhone or iPod touch This can occur when you attempt using an older restore ipsw fall to a previous version is not well-matched To conclude this complexity. Attempt to restore with the newest iPhone, iPhone, iPod touch or Apple software accessible.

In fact I did. The question remains - why would Apple recommend "trying" anything if "will not work," as you said?

No phones permanently get brick jail broken. I don’t agree with this. It’s totally rubbish.

Enter DFU restore the phone from iTunes and after the process is complete reboot and press enter: exit DFU. And it's as simple as that. I had that problem many times. All errors there is nothing better than one.

I have my phone and I am not getting iTunes error 1015,out of that recovery of iTunes, you can now upgrade to the latest firmware, now a Light phone, only one of the problems I have lost my unlock jailbreak and Stuck on Vodafone until they unlock it for free. (A phone that works is better than no phone)

you can make use of any ios firmware 3.5.3, 4.1, 4.3.5 to restore your iPhone, when I have buy mine a few days ago, second-hand that had 3.5.3 and I realized that iTunes is obtainable to mistake chuck 1015. I upgraded also stuck in recovery mode for days and days I sat here annoying and trying to fasten a brick, and then lastly got the life back into my 3G, I'm leaving to do in 4.1 Update later! A thing back up earlier in iTunes at the moment back on my phone and activated it through iTunes.

I now have a similar problem. I have just got an iphone 3g, its my first one, and i have tried to restore it in my itunes but every time i try i get an error 1015. I am operating on Windows 7 and have tried the dfu thing and made sure that my itunes is up to date but dont seem to be able to get it it work can someone please help me?!

You can try to restore your iphone 3g to 4.1 stock firmware (just google iPhone1,2_4.1_8B117_Restore.ipsw and download it) and after restore still you can get 1015 error, but if you notice, the recovery mode has changed completely, so just ignore the error and use recboot or iREB-4.0.x-4.1 to kick the iphone out of recovery mode. Once everything is done properly then you will see that the restoring bar will start again and your iphone will get firmware 4.1 and baseband 6.15. Just use redsn0w to jailbreak and ultrasn0w to unlock further and everything will work flawlessly.
