Extended Battery life Bios in Acer Aspire 3820TG

I customized the BIOS for the owners of the 3820TG with the ATI 6550m which be supposed to get better battery life while playing Role playing games and browsing the GPU.
    Clocks and voltages are:

    • Low Power 3D mode 450/700 MHz @.90V
    • 3D mode - 600/800 MHz @1v
    • 2D mode - 100/150 MHz @.80v

Windows battery meter show 6 hours of battery life idle minimum / ATI GPU enabled. My exacting is over clocked 6550 m 670/900 MHz @1V with MSI Afterburner and works perfectly. I’m like the BIOS file to be flashed with a USB flash drive phlash16. make a DOS bootable flash drive, restart into DOS, then type:

    phlash16 force JM31119.WPH.

Make sure you have the adapter plugged intermittently while and let the program to finish before doing anything.

Do you have to manually switch profiles or done routinely? immediately asking for the reason that it does not work for my Acer Aspire 5650.

I started low-power 3D for use with the battery saving mode through Windows. You can use either standard 3D or low power depending on their preferences; although low-power 3D will probably give you an additional 30 minutes. You will be capable to perform the similar intended for the Acer Aspire 5650 BIOS by means of Radeon BIOS Editor tool.

I do not think since the integrated Intel chip, the CPU could be wrong though. Neither the battery life is 6 hours when idle, surfing the web will give you more like 4:30 to 5:00

That's weird. While mine is in neutral (wifi off, on Intel GPU, the brightness of a quarter), it downloads in about 8000mw.

There is no reason to if you are running a late-model kernel, you can put this line at the end of / etc / rc.local to turn off the ATI:

    Code:
    echo "OFF"> / sys / kernel / debug / vgaswitcheroo / switch

It is probably something simple though. Are you using the fglrx or the open source driver for ATI? Start the fglrx ****ed my machine, but running the open source ATI driver works well. I'm in a 4820TG what force be a number of little difference flanked by him and a 3820TG I'm not aware of what causes problems.
MY Acer Aspire Configuration is as follows:
    • Acer Timeline 4820TG
    • I5-460M ATI 5650M OC 650/900
    • 320 gb Seagate
    • Corsair 4 gb ram.
