Unable to setup RT-N56U router on HTTP server

I'm attempting to get a web server set up behind a RT-N56U. I would be able to utilize any port but 80 do accommodate the http server. The virtual server page on the RT-N56U states that: “When your arrangement's firewall is disabled and you situated 80 as the HTTP server's port run for your WAN setup, then your http server/web server could be in clash with RT-N56U's web user interface.” Ok. Well, I require my HTTP server to run on port 80. Since the RT-N56U's network interface is utilizing port 80, how do I allot it to a different port? Putting a port 80 lead on the virtual server pages doesn't work. Asks for to port 80 unequivocally time out.

Re: Unable to setup RT-N56U router on HTTP server

I have prepared the firewall on RT-N56U, and disabled the right to gain entrance to RT-N56U from WAN. I have a web server running on port 80 on 192.168.xxx.xxx and I have made comparing entrance on the virtual server post. I would be able to enter to my web server with no situation from outside of my system. On the other hand, you would be able to setup RT-N56U to listen for instance 8080 port for entering from WAN. It's finished from propelled-> firewall page.

What firmware is it true that you are utilizing? Would you see any problems presenting your settings file? Propelled > Administration > Restore / Save / Upload Setting. I'll transfer your settings and see depending on if I haven't missed something. What you have portrayed is what I've done. Within my system, every thinking individual sees the network server, users outside the grid as well as port filtering utilizing whatsmyip post have their solicitations timeout. Altering the port for WAN access makes a point not to appear to update anything as I'd collect that just updates the port utilized to enter the router's page from outside the LAN.

Re: Unable to setup RT-N56U router on HTTP server

I'm utilizing 1.0.1.4 firmware. I can’t post the settings document quite recently, following I'm progressing, but I think I could probably do this following week. Anyway, I have impaired the web access to the RT-N56U from WAN in firewall settings, and from the propelled-> virtual server-> "Enable Virtual Server", Service name: http, Port Range: 80, Local IP: web-server IP, Local port: 80, Protocol TCP. That did the trick for me. "Adapting the port for WAN access tries not to appear to update anything as I'd posit that just updates the port utilized to enter the router's page from outside the LAN." That is precisely what it does (or anyhow might as well do)

I have precisely the same situation with the same router. I could probably access the network server and ftp from the neighborhood lattice but not from outside. Did you ever spot a fix for it? ----------Hardware NAT: Enabled Software QoS: Disabled Destination Proto. Make sure your DSL/CABLE modem is [re]configured to forward/virtual-server port 80 to the WAN IP of your new RT-N56U. This is what was causing my set-up not to work.

I had to reconfigure my Motorola Cable Modem [Time Warner's Road Runner/Signature service] to forward/virtual-server port 80 to 192.168.0.3 now [the new ASUS RT-N56U router mac was getting a new IP on the cable modem as opposed to the previous router's mac which was always getting IP 192.168.0.2].
