Which is worth buying Acer W500 or ASUS Eee EP121

I am very close to buying the Acer W500. I love the idea of having a decent battery life and decent GPU. I have an iPhone and an aging LE1600 bust with a DV connector and keyboard broken. I'm not sure if I want to invest more in that old PC. I will miss the LE1600 active digitizer, but I have a Bamboo Pen & Touch again. I would like to try before you buy. Should I keep saving for EP121, or bite the bullet and try to W500?

    Primary Programs:
    • Office 2010
    • Sketchbook
    • Manga Studio
    • Hexagon
    • XSI 6

All these programs ran on my LE1600

The EP121 Asus is going to do better than the W500, other than the battery life and weight. I know the price difference is another negative point, but if I had one before me EP121 and W500 (which I had a EP121 and now has the W500) that probably would go for the EP121. EP121: business, everything is the replacement laptop once you add the keyboard. W500: multimedia player, read a book here and there, the game smoothly. If you are going to do anything with a pencil, go with the EP121.

I have both. The W500 makes the EP121 out. The W500 has a much brighter screen and I like the dock on the keyboard. I'm by means of a BT Solidtek KB / TP with the EP121, which works well. If I were in your place than, I would keep cutback for the EP121 4 / 64 and by the time you've saved enough maybe some new boards will come out that are less costly and more powerful features than the EP121

Even I have both EP121 and W500. I love my EP121 for content creation and demonstration is really so. I think it's almost a perfect machine with the exception of battery life, but I have understood that is running Windows 7 and I5. I love my W500 for other reasons. Only for reading and browsing the web, review of documents MS Office, etc, which have a real PC interface. I replaced the SSD on my 64GB SSD with the EP121 and I use Windows Live Mesh to sync my documents, so you always have the latest version of the files I created on the EP121. I love so much. I tried the Dell DUO (sold it 2 months later) and EXOPC both are underpowered. If you want a good list of Windows with the good battery, then I recommend W500. (You get the dock keyboard).

It really depends what you are doing and how powerful it is necessary that the tablet can be. As the performance of the EP121 is better, but battery life is poor, and the screen quality is terrible for a product of $ 1100 with slender flow. W500 has a much enhanced life of the battery, the screen is upto the mark, but presentation is disappointed with Windows 7. For movies, HD playback is smooth, although sometimes, when the video stream from the CPU is overloaded because some players do not fully utilize the GPU c-50.

I am in favor of the W500, because drawing and like the idea of battery life on a tablet. For word processing, Internet browsing, and watching movies on HD Acer W500 is more than enough, in fact, I think the HD playback to see much better on the screen of the W500 - plus you get good battery life. However, the performance is a bit mediocre in Windows 7. The spring system works, but it really should be an addition to the USB port on the side. The SDHC slot up for this, however it is not that much, but it would be better if there was one side of the USB port on the tablet rather than the quay.
