How to make a home theatre region free

hi guys i just bought a samsung 3d blue ray ht-d555ow home theatre and it wont let me change the region free i can't play uk dvd's just my aussy ones.

i have tried everything can anyone help

You cannot make a blu ray player region free. It is impossible for it to be done. You can however make a blu ray disc region free with a bluray copy tool like the Leawo Blu-ray Copy, just search it on the net and download it. This kind of bluray copy programs would help you to copy your bluray disc to hard disk or to another blank bluray disc to remove the bluray protection and make the bluray discs region free.

cheers mate didn't know that but the thing is im not playing blue ray disk just normaldisk can i do anything with the region

Well, if you had made and burned a dvd disc, then it should be region free by default settings. Same happens when you rip a commercial dvd disc and have created a backup from it. To create a regional disc, you would have to choose that in the DVD authoring software. Not often done, especially at the default settings.
