Hey guys, 15 days ago I had purchased the Sony HDR-CX160 High Definition Camcorder. It was working very well when I had purchased the camcorder but recently it has started up showing this very sever issue. The camcorder is getting extremely heated within few minutes of usage. Does anyone know what must be causing this issue with my camcorder? How can I solve the issue? How I cam make my camcorder work well as it was working before? Please help me guys.

According to me there is some kind of issue with the battery which is used in your Sony HDR-CX160 High Definition Camcorder. It is faulty. It is leaking the power because of some reasons. So, in this case, you need to replace the battery of your camcorder with a new battery which is working well in your camcorder and the most important it is not leaking its power like the earlier one was doing. Changing your battery will surely solve the issue.

Yes, I also feel that you should change your Sony HDR-CX160 High Definition Camcorder’s battery. But you should make sure that another battery which you are purchasing for your camcorder must be an original battery and not any fake one. If it is a fake one, then the chances of problem occurring again will be increased to a considerable amount. It is always recommended to use original genuine products to get the best performance output from the product.

I have heard that the problem might also occur, if the firmware of your camcorder is old. So just in case for precaution, I would recommend you to search for the latest available firmware update for your Sony HDR-CX160 High Definition Camcorder on Internet and download it in your computer system/laptop of you comes across any. Once you have completed the download, install the firmware in your camcorder and then check out how the camcorder is performing after the update.

Your Sony HDR-CX160 High Definition Camcorder seems to be faulty to me and it is in urgent need for repairing from somebody with good technical knowledge on this topic, someone professional. So, I will recommend you to get your camcorder checked up as soon as possible. Most probably as its being just 15 days since you have purchased the camcorder, you will get your camcorder replaced with a new one which will be fault free and won’t show up any overheating issues.
