I guess yes, you need to restore to factory settings because there might be only 2 reasons for this problem. Either Settings or Corrupted memory card. Now as i guess that you are sure about memory card is working than better try restoring it to factory settings. because i had never faced any such issue in any of my mobile (Just NOKIA, not any chinese device). If still it wont work than just backup your data and format your phone as well as SD Card and than try again.

Do u by any chance know how to format the phone?coz i ve been trying this on D320 and it seems not to work or better still do u know how to restore to factory settings on D320? i have use all the codes provided in this forum and yet non is working. ur help ll be highly appreciated.

Well, there might be a option in your mobile phone settings where you can restore mobile phone to factory settings that wipes out the data completely from the phone, even the contacts as well and it will be freshly looking like a new phone. But before doing so, you will have to backup the contacts from the mobile phone.
