How to play games from USB drive on ps2?

Hi,
I am a college student. I have recently bought a PS2. And all games works great on it I was wondering that is it possible to play games for the external drive as it becomes very mess in storing all the games CD’s and it even gets spoiled at times so Now I want to play ps2 games from USB drive. I will transfer all my games to my USB drive and even download many other games for my ps2, if it’s possible. So, please give your suggestions on how to run PS2 games from USB drive. Hi as like you even I am looking for the similar answer. I had spent a good time in figuring out how to play games on my PS2 without the actual CD or is it even possible? I want to download some of my favorite games whose CD ‘s have spoiled and I am, not able to find a another CD for that game, so I thought of downloading them and play them from a USB drive but I'm quite confused how to do it. So even I am looking a way to run my games from USB drive on my ps2.

You can certainly play games from your USB drive on your ps2. As to do that you need to have software called “USB Advance” or “USB Extreme”
- Write this software onto a blank CD-R.
- Insert the disc into the playstation 2.
- You should have a USB Pen drive with you having a capacity of minimum 4 GB.
- Along with the “USB Advance’, you will get a software for your PC to convert the downloaded games into the games playable through USB.
- Open the software, browse for a game file, and convert it.
- Now insert the USB drive into your computer and copy the converted game files into the USB drive.
- Remove the USB drive from computer and insert it in your PS2.
- Boot your PS2 with the USB Advance CD in it and now select the game and press the 'X' button to play!
