Unable to Boot HP Pavilion DV6000 Notebook

My friend having a HP DV6000, which is having good performance till now, but now its performance gets degraded. Previously it working fine but now it can’t boot from hard drive and unable to load the Windows 7 OS. When we turn on the, then clicking sound are there and sudden it gets a shutdown. When we plug in to charge, the front light blink and indicates that the battery is charging properly. We have kept it for a 20 hour plug-in then also it seems to be nothing.

There may be a software problem because of which the laptop cannot able get started. Make sure that the “BIOS CONFIGURATION “setting is proper. And confirm that the battery is properly charged and working fine. Basically you can go for the repair option of your OS. Bad Sector on hard drive, losing cable or defective cabling, improper SCSI termination, another is causing a resource conflict with the storage controller. Failing RAM may also cause this.

Failure related with your hard drive. Follow the instruction to perform diagnosis:
First backup your all data. Reboot your system. When HP logo gets Appear, press F10 key to enter into a “BIOS”.when system display a boot menu, select Tools Using the arrow key. Select hard drive test .this will take around 45-60 minute to complete. To properly diagnosis the hard drive, the entire test must be run. The hard drive test will run a long test and short test. If disk test is passed away, keep using PC. If you further receive an error message then contact to manufacturer to take appropriate action.

Re-assemble the all peripheral and de-attached all hardware to it. Verify all setting properly config. Make sure that the AC power adapter is not plugged in. Remove the battery. Now perform the hard reset, it will reset the entire configuration as well as setting of your notebook. Do not connect the AC power Adapter and observe that led is glowing or blinking, and then listen the sound for the disk and fan turning. If laptop can’t get start then contact to the HP service center. If pc gets Start then update it.

As you are saying, that you are able to hear the clicking sound when you start your laptop and then its gets shutdown. I recommend, remove hard drive and again attached it to the laptop and then try. If nothing happen then make sure that your hard drive functioning properly. If it is in warranty service then send it for the replacement, for that you don’t have to pay anything but if out of service then you have to pay for that. And perform a diagnostic test for hard drive.
