Uninstalling opera mini from MicromaxX550

MicromaxX550 Qube is the phone that I have being using from last 2 months. It has great features, it is a dual SIM phone with 2MP camera. It supports many applications for social networking. We can also install opera mini browser as it supports WAP and GPRS. I have been using opera mini browser for surfing and downloading applications by connecting my phone to GPRS. While using opera mini I noticed that the speed which I was getting for surfing was very slow and internet connection was also very weak. So, I decided to uninstall opera mini from my phone but failed to do that. I tried a lot but I am not able to uninstall it. Can you help me out in this problem? Can you give me the necessary solutions to uninstall it?

I read your post, your problem can be solved easily. I know that you are not satisfied with opera mini due to the slow GPRS speed and weak internet connection that you are receiving. This is because you might be using earlier version of opera mini. I advise you to install the latest version of opera mini in your phone and the latest version will overwrite the earlier version that is present in your phone. After you install the latest version of opera you will be able to use high speed internet in your phone.

To remove opera mini application from your phone is not complicated. You can easily uninstall opera mini from your phone. To uninstall Opera Mini, use your phone's application management tool to remove the application. Note that you may need to reconfigure your phone to use a WAP profile, if you want to use your WAP browser. After you uninstall opera mini from application management tool and reconfigure your phone to a WAP profile then you will be able to connect your phone to GPRS using the default browser. Now, there won’t be any opera mini browser phone in your phone.

Uninstalling opera mini is complicated in some phones but in Micromax it is not that difficult. To uninstall opera first move the opera mini application into your memory card. Take backup of all data present in your memory card than format your memory card. The opera mini present in your memory card will be automatically removed. After removal of opera mini you can use your default browser to get connected to internet.
