Internet Settings for Motorola Defy on Vodafone

Hi everyone, please help me about internet settings of Vodafone. I have contacted to Vodafone in New Zealand and tell them to provide internet settings so I can use internet on my new Motorola Defy. They were not helpful because they are not sailing this model in that country. I was also contact to Motorola but they told me to contact to your service provider and once again I am in front of Vodafone. So please any one provide me the internet settings for mobile internet access.

If you need the APN settings then this setting will help you. You need two APN's on Vodafone in NZ to for working MMS.

    APN 1
    Name Vodafone NZ
    name www.vodafone.net.nz
    Proxy -
    port -
    username -
    password -
    server -
    mmsc null
    mms proxy -
    mms port -
    mcc - 530
    mnc -
    apn type – default

    APN 2
    Name vodafone NZ-MMS
    apn live.vodafone.com
    proxy -
    port -
    username -
    password -
    server -
    mmsc pxt.vodafone.net.nz/pxtsend
    mms proxy 172.30.38.3
    mms port 8080
    mcc 530
    mnc 01
    apn type mms

With this setting you can easily access your internet.

Before any think do please check all the things. I think Motorola can help, but if we try some more then we get answer. Type *#*#4636#*#* from your dialer, one menu will appeared then you have go into “info menu”. In that information “set preferred network type" is set on "GSM auto (PRL)".In same menu your radio is ON then click on Ok. After this entire click the lower left menu button and an advanced menu get pop up. Came out of that, click the lower left phone button and again get your advanced menu. Make “Enable data connection" is confirmed. Go to front screen. Go in the phone menu button, go into settings and check connection preferences NOT set for "wifi only".
