Meeting the location service requirements of cellular devices

The specified required in the application 2-10-4 the system to be developed must have such software settings which allow the users to turn on or turn off the application's access to and use of location from the Location Service API. Cant these changes be made by using a normal MessageBox that for example say "application trying to access location user location data" wherein choosing "okay" lets the application go on and "cancel" does not let the application to access the data. The specified required in the application 2-10-7 the system to be developed must have a policy document available to users that lets them know about how location data on their device, from the Location Service Application programming interface is used and disclosed and the controls that users have over the use and sharing of location data.

let the application use your location data.every time the application uses the users location data, the locations experts at Microsoft also collect the data about your location to give and improve its location tracking systems. the information is never used to identify or contact you. <privacy statement link>". For the above text, the software must be the titled to the statement and privacy document must link to go.microsoft.com. and the options must be displayed with yes or no buttons with the application exiting if the user selects "no".

now when i use the application on my desktop it displays the messages that the application will be using the users location data it asks this before installation on the device that it will be using the users data. is this correct that if this can't be defined by the developer or the publisher.after the installation is done there is no need to ask the permission from the user. the application need to specify such details prior to the installation over the privacy document and there will be no need to ask the user for access of the data ever after the user accepts and installs.

It is not always the case some time it depends on the way the application is using the data. there is a mentioned criteria: 2-10-5 If your application publishes or makes available location data obtained from the Location Service API to any other service or other person (including advertising networks), the software should implement a method to obtain optimal consent from the user. if you want to use the method to obtain „optimal' consent,” the software must include, 1.the total information as to how is the users location data going to be used; 2. must need the users instant consent over how the data is used and framed in the softwares use; and 3. must include the option for the user to get out of the location sharing dilemma that the concerned user is not willing to share.

that observation/suggestion you made is good still when you go around the Application Requirements,Application programming interface must be used to make the software in such a way that if the user declines the permission request made by the application the user must be able to define how the data coming to the application is important and will come in use if allowed to it must be an illustrative process but must not get on the nerves of the user by increasing the clicks to work ratio of the application.

this is alright but how will we be able to provide a specific setting in the software in were the user when disallows the application form using the location data calls to the Location services Application programming interface while the GeoCoordinateWatcher is always read only. i am not implying on that you did not know that but its may be not possible as the Application programming interface itself does not allow such settings to be set over the given senario.
