Need Advice on Smartphone plans and models

I am newbie to the Smartphone world here. I am looking for advice about Smartphone plans, and Smartphone models. I am presently on an AT&T contract, but I hate AT&T and am primed to pay anything termination fee applies to loophole of my contract. I wish to obtain a Smartphone, but I would favor not to sign up for another contract, because I don't wish the long-term commitment, and I utilize very few minutes of talk time every month. As well, I imagine that I wouldn't utilize much data, typically just checking my email and utilizing Gmaps rarely. So I was speculating whether it's likely to obtain a Smartphone and pay-as-I-go, for both voice and data. Any suggestion regarding how to perform this, the most excellent networks to go with, and so on, would be very much appreciated.

'Unlimited' hardly ever means limitless in wireless data. Even Sprint cautions they could end their capless data if usage becomes difficult and I think they might strangle. Generally you seem at a 5 GB cap, which might well be excellent to put back your home connection if you don't stream video or obtain your games online. That thing adds up rapid. As for devices, the QWERTY means you probable want Blackberry, Android or Windows Phone 7.

You might need to read this article: “Sprint Now the just U.S. Carrier with an Unlimited Data Plan” which you merely discover on google. It talks about the condition with all the carriers. You might think an unlocked Smartphone on a PAYG plan, and after that pick up a MiFi from Verizon, Sprint, or Clear (Clear is on Sprint's system and needs no contract). With the MiFi 4G, as a minimum on Sprint, you obtain limitless data and it's quite portable. You could utilize it with your Smartphone and laptop, restoring your home network.

The first query is where will you utilize this device? If you live in or close to a big metro, there can be many options from the majors to MVNO's, a few of which have striking rate plans and quite good device choices. In minor regions, you are generally down to just the main carriers. As well, there are a few local carriers, not all in the large cities, that have a few nice plans. Both the regionals and the MVNO's can have big roaming areas if they have accomplished agreements with the majors.

Not anything syncs simply with iTunes apart from Apple, and they don't have any QWERTY Smartphone’s. This does not mean you can discover additional ways to move your songs to the Smartphone. If portrait QWERTY, after that put in Droid Pro (Verizon). However, all these phones are sheltered, and if you wish pay as you go with overseas prepaid SIMs, either the phones have to be unlocked by somebody or you just require getting an unlocked phone. The options are least, which means you have to give up a few additional things.

To me, the carrier funding of the device is just off-putting the consumer with the new, glossy toy while in excess of making up for the costs with the data plan on the 3 year contract. I as well speculate if the complete MSRP isn't overstated at the carriers' request to make them (the carriers) seem better for present you such a "deal." I can notice these devices deal in the $400 to $500 range. $500 to $600+ looks suspicious to me. The just way I can ingest the subsidy bait is "I am going to continue with them as a minimum 3 years anyhow, so I might also take advantage of it."
