reset button on the zen micro?

You can solve most problems with Zen Micro by resetting it.

• Ensure that the Zen Micro is turned off.
• Remove the battery.
• Move and hold the Power button to the Power On position and re-insert the battery to the Zen Micro.
• Hold the Power button until the Rescue mode appears.

Yes, none of the recovery mode options are working for me either, it seems like it is going to work, but just freezes on whatever option I choose. No, I didn't just get it. I got it about one year ago and it was working fine until about a week ago when it began to freeze on the creative screen. My computer doesn't say that it's even connected when it is. Does anyone know what to do?

My first Zen micro had problems with the jack, and i exchanged it for a new 5 GB Zen micro that Creative claims to be problem free as far as the jack is concerned. But my new Zen micro froze on Day 3 of usage! I dropped it on a carpeted floor and it froze after that. It's the first knock my Zen micro met with. I tried everything, rebooting, reformatting, clean up etc, but nothing works. The screen just freezes. What had happened? I'm a sad girl now.

Hey guys, I had the same problem with my zen micro and here what i did.

• Remove the battery
• Once the player is shut off, plug it into the wall charger. (Without the battery in it)
• Turn on the player and wait for it to completely boot up
• Once it’s booted up, put the battery in
• After you put the battery in, unplug the zen micro from the wall charger
• Now it should be fine

It’s strange, my Zen micro did this for the first 2-3 months i had it, but now it doesn't do it anymore

Hey, my Zen has a slightly different problem. I was listening to it then it turned off because it was out of battery. So when i got home i plugged it into my computer via usb, the Zen micro screen lighted up but nothing else happened so i knew it was on. Then i plugged in the earphones and it was playing the same song it was when it turned itself off. So it seems as though my Zen is working but i can’t see what’s going on. Can anybody help me?
