How to play videos on Samsung Omnia 7 mobile phone

Here are the steps to play videos on your Omnia 7 mobile phone:

• In Menu mode, select Pictures.
  
  
• Touch and drag right to the thumbnail list and select a video (with the icon) to play. You can also select a folder (all or date) and then a video.
  
  
• Rotate the mobile phone anti-clockwise to landscape view.
  
  
• Select PLAY to start playback.
  
  
• Control playback with the following icons.

• Skip backward in a file; or scan backward in a file (tap and hold).
• Pause playback or select to resume playback.
• Skip forward in a file or scan forward in a file (tap and hold).

NOTE: Your mobile phone supports wmv, .3gp, .mp4, .avi video formats.

Adding video files to the Omnia 7 mobile phone via Zune:

You can synchronise Zune on your PC to add video files to your phone as follows.

• With Zune installed and using a PC data cable, connect the multifunction jack on your phone to a PC. When connected, Zune will automatically run on the PC.
  
  
• Customise the sync settings and set your phone's name by following the on-screen instructions.
  
  
• From the Zune screen, access your collection list.
  
  
• Select and drag the video files you want to the phone icon on the bottom left side of the screen.

NOTE: To disconnect the phone, click the USB device icon on the Windows system tray and click the option to safely remove the device. Then remove the PC data cable from the PC. Otherwise, you may lose data stored on your mobile phone.

Playing videos on your Omnia 7 mobile phone using Zune:

To play video files after transferring them to your mobile phone, please follow these steps.

• On the Home screen, tap the --> icon.
  
  
• In the Menu mode, select Music & Videos.
  
  
  
  
• Scroll to Zune and select videos.
  
  
• Scroll to a video category and select the video to play.
  
  
• Rotate the mobile phone anti-clockwise to landscape view.
  
  
• Control playback with the on-screen icons (the same as shown in the previous step).

NOTE: If the file size exceeds the available memory, an error may occur when you open files.


To play podcast videos, proceed as follows:

• In Menu mode, select Music & Videos.
  
  
• Scroll to Zune and select podcasts.
  
  
• Scroll to a video category.
  
  
• Select podcast > an episode > PLAY
