Is it best choice to have component 1080 than HDMI 1080p

I have Magnavox NB530MGX player and my Magnavox 47" 47MF439B/F7 TV. I am using this since 2 years. I want to do something on this. I have question if I connect component video from my player to my TV will my TV immediately up switch the 1080i to 1010p. Let me know what HDMI TV is capable to do. What is actual difference between component 1080i and HDMI 1080p. Which one is better. If anyone have suggestion please let me know.

As per my knowledge I think there is no cause for it to up switch to 1080p and then down switch to 1080i. I think It will merely flaunt the 1080i signal. Whether or not it actually displays it gradually or intermingled depends on your Magnavox TV. Some public do not observe the dissimilarity among HDMI and component links when they watch the display. So do don’t think there is any big difference. So You can have any one.

if not your tv is an very old uncommon CRT that is HD or is projection based type, it is would be progressive. All LCD TV, Plasma TV, are intrinsically progressive. Also it all depend on the local resolution of the set not on 1080p as native resolution. There would be several change in it in spite of the input.
I don't believe you would observe a lot of dissimilarity among HDMI 1080p and Component 1080i. particularly if the set has a fine alteration chip built in. even if I have just HDMI and 1080p.

rapid movement is not a problem for most chipsets these days with good extension that can deinterlace well (assuming you are referring to 1080i vs 1080p and interlaced appearance).120hz does not matter. It's a marketing gimmick. Unless you are watching BluRay movies in 3D (which is a special case and should know if you have a 3D game and go for full 3d pig BluRay player HDMI), nothing out there now for the average Joe pushed just over 60 Hz to the TV. HDMI or component, 120hz will not change anything.

Not expected, in your case. To put into comparison: the blurry player is the reproduction of content is already digital and compressed to some extent. HDMI is digital, but practically decompressed. junk in, junk out basically. You would not observe any dissimilarity among component and HDMI basis. The only case where you can "feel" provides a better quality analog picture is different picture settings on TV between the 2 HDMI connections.

The fundamental rule, try it for yourself. particularly if you not sure all in sequence existing. That said, I do not observe how you can anticipate a digital source, alter to analog, and then altered back to digital would be improved than a digital signal steady. In any case, cables and TV regulate might be more obvious than the dissimilarity among component and HDMI. But again, results differ depend on hardware used.
