How to enter GPRS settings manually in HTC Wildfire?

Recently I have purchased HTC Wildfire and I really loved the look and feel of this particular phone. I am looking to enter GPRS settings manually on the phone of mine by I am totally unaware of this particular thing. Well I have searched on the Google to get the idea but there was no specific solution to get the requirement of mine. I am hoping that all the users of this particular forum would help me to fix the problem of mine.

You can use the following thing to achieve the requirement of yours. This particular setting would be helpful if you are supposed to use Airtel GPRS Edge Settings.
    • You need to go for Settings and select the Wireless and Network and choose the Mobile Network. After going for Mobile Network and simply choose the Access Point.
    • You will have following options on the screen
    • Airtel Live
    • Mobile Office
    • Airtel MMS
    • You need to select Mobile Office and make the following settings in the same.
    Code:
Name – Mobile Office (MO or what ever)
    APN – airtelgprs.com
    Proxy – Not Set
    Port – <Not set>
    Username – <Not set>
    Password – <Not set>
    Server – <Not set>
    MMSC – <Not set>
    MMSC Proxy – <Not set>
    MMS Port – <Not set>
    MMS Protocol – wap 2.0
    MCC – 404
    MNC- 10
    Auth type – notset
    API Type – Default
Once you have done above mentioned thing you will be able to use the same on the phone of yours.

I am suggesting particular thing which you should try and see whether it would be helpful to you or not.
You need to go to Settings from the phone menu and go for Connection and simply go for the Hutch WAP. If Hutch WAP does not exist then you need to create the same on the phone of yours. Now make the following settings in the phone and let me know whether it is working or not.
    Connects to: Work
    Access point: portalnmms
    User name: (empty)
    Password: (empty)
Authentication type: Select the option `None'
    Primary DNS: (empty)
    2nd DNS: (empty)
    IP Address: 10.10.1.100

Well looking at the situation which you provided and in order to meet the requirement you need to use the following steps and I am hoping that the instructions which I am going to post over here would be useful to you. You need to go for Settings from the Main Menu and go for Proxy and simply go for the Hutch WAP Proxy. In case it is not created on the phone then you need to create the same on the device of yours. Now use the following settings and restart the phone.
    Code:
    Connects from: Work
    Connects to: WAP Network
    Proxy (Name:port):10.10.1.100:9401
    Type: Select `HTTP'
    User Name: (empty)
    Password: (empty)

Re: How to enter GPRS settings manually in HTC Wildfire?

I am thinking all the solutions which are provided by the all the users might be quite useful to you. If none of the solutions are working for you then I think I am having another thing which you can use to get the requirement of yours. I recommending that you should contact the network service provider for this issue. They will verify yourself and sent the settings on the phone. You should install the same on the phone of yours.
