The WD hard drive software is not behaving properly.

I am having the problem which I guess never been faced by any one. Now the thing here is that I am using the Passport SE and whenever I am connecting the same then it is not running software which is used to do earlier. I also used to keep a track on which the data and also it helped me in taking the backup of the same. But now the scene is different and whenever I am connection the same then a file is running which is unknown to me and also eating up all the CPU and the file is nothing but WDFME.exe and sometimes WDSC.exe. Please help me in this one.

Well the first thing that I want to tell you here is that this problem is associated with the hard disk that you are using and if you have to solve the same then you need to just see whether the software in the hard drive is doing well or not and if it is not then you try and uninstall the same and then install it back again. I am sure that after installing the proper update you will be able to solve the problem and I am sure that doing this will definitely help you to solve the issue that you are facing.

I think that the problem is associated with the hard drive that you are using and if you need that the hard drive should behave properly then you have to make sure that the problem is not caused again while connecting the hard drive. And if you will try and hard reset the drive then it will definitely allow you to solve the issue. I hope that the issue will be sorted once the drive is formatted since all the data will be deleted and it will as fresh as it was earlier in front of you. And also do one thing that take back up of all the data that you have saved on the hard drive.

I am also facing a problem somewhat similar to this one, actually the thing here is that I was not able to stake the backup of the drive that i am using. Some friends of mine were saying that there is way that will make me to take the backup and that to on the regular basis. But I really need a perfect way that will prevent the data lost from the disk and also I can keep the track of the old and new data. And also I want to recover the data which was lost when my old hard drive was crashed so please let me know the best possible ways that will help me in recovering the data. Any help regarding this will be appreciated.

Recovery of your data is usually very easy when you know what to do, then keep reading. Western digital products come in all different hard drive interfaces such as IDE, SCSI and SATA. The causes of Western Digital hard drive failure can be numerous. For example, your BIOS may not recognize it, there may be a mechanical problem or even a malfunction of the software. Physical drive failure is very common, if you can’t even boot your computer. If this occurs, you must stop your computer as soon as possible, remove the hard drive of your computer and make your local computer store. However, I must say that generally, if you do not live near a center data recovery specialist, your local computer store can damage your computer further. I'm not saying that all places are like that, but I do encourage you to do your own research and learn about what is the best option to solve this problem. If you want to recover your data, which most people, then I strongly suggest you hire a professional. They usually offer a free consultation, so you do not need to spend lots of money there. You should also make sure that the company uses certified clean rooms and are very experienced in the treatment of failure of Western Digital hard drive, because there are many companies out there that are not in place for work.

Re: The WD hard drive software is not behaving properly.

I just had a similar problem. I just bought last Friday a 1 TB WD SATA. I installed it, however Windows does not see it in the workplace. The disk was well seen by the BIOS, although seen by XP (SP3) as a device but not accessible. The new drive appears in the lower right with a small red symbol like no entry. We need to right click on the right side next to the name of the disk called "Disk 1" (if this is the second drive on your PC) and then initialize it, then the disk is initialized as a basic disk and then select "create partition" to create one or more partitions, this is where the letters are affected, then after the "format" (also by right clicking). When the disk is formatted, then it is visible to Windows. That's what I did and it worked.Everything is done from this window "Computer Management". I hope you find this information useful and will solve your problem.
