Connecting Laptop to Nokia E71

Hi i just got Nokia E71 from straight talk, i downloaded pc suite from nokia but when i try to connect to the internet it say it cannot establish a network connection. i have found nokia e71 modem on the laptop and when i click on it to connect it askes for username and password i really dont know much about computers as is so any help would be greatly appreciated.. To work with the Internet Connectivity on your Laptop you should first install the Nokia E71 PC suit and after that you should connect your phone. Now you have to set the Internet option with the help of your PC suit and set a Username and password. Use this username and password for Internet Connectivity. So if you can then go through same and work with the issue.
