Mac Mini is not detecting ECO reader

I have bought a new eco-reader for reading e-books but my Mac mini does not recognize it when I connected to it. I cannot see any icon on MYcomputer or Dekstop, when doing a search also I am not able to locate it. It is also makes same issue when I connected to other mac. I have tried by connecting via different ports. When I connected it into other PC other than Mac, they will detect ECO reader. Then what is the problem with Mac computers. Can I anyone help me? I really love to read books and newspapers from this reader. So without downloading from computer how can I able to use it. Please tell me why the Mac is not detecting the ECO-reader. I am sure that there must be any way to work with Mac.

I think that there should be some kind of special drivers or softwares for Mac computers. Please refer the manual that came along with it and see whether the device is compatible to apple computers. If it is compatible should they need any special package or software in order to detect the device? The windows computers can easily detect the ECO-reader as an USB plug and play device. So you will not get any trouble in that. Did you get any software CD that came along with the package? If you have one install it in your Mac and see.

I think that the cable is not supporting the Mac. Otherwise the device is not made for Mac computers. It is only for Windows Based to computers. Otherwise you will need to either change the OS or Upgrade the OS. Make the necessary changes in BIOS. I think the SD card in that reader is not supporting somehow. There are different reasons for not detecting. You should find the reason by yourself.

You need to go through following things before making connection between the mac mini and eco reader
    • USB Cable – use different Usb Cable. Sometimes USB cables act in impulsive ways
    • USB Port – try some other USB ports. There may be chance that Some ports not getting enough power.
    • Reset – Reset the device ahead of trying to connect.
    • Safe Mode – Boot the system in safe mode (pressing F8 when starting up)
