iPod classic froze while playing music

I have an iPod classic and till today morning it was working fine, but now i am getting the problem. I am able to see only apple logo for a few seconds, then after that the screen goes blank, after some time it again shows the apple logo and again goes blank. This thing continues in a loop for an hour. Does anyone have any idea related with this issue? Please try to provide your suggestion related with this issue. Do help me out. Thanks.

I am also having some problem with my Ipod classic. The problem is that when i try to press the play/pause button along with the wheel, then it should get the apple logo, but instead of this i am getting white screen with Disk Mode. Is there anyone who is having the same problem? If you have any solutions related with this issue, and then please try to post it here. You help will be appreciated.

I have tried following things to solve the problem.

1. As soon as the screen turned off, then i try to reboot the device.
2. Reboot can be performed by holding the Center + Play/Pause buttons
3. You have to hold it till it enters the Disk Mode.
4. After that i plug it into my iMac.
5. After plugging i selected Restore option.
6. Then i pressed the Center + Previous/Rewind key when the screen had gone out.
7. Then I selected the manual test when i got white screen on my device.

I hope that, doing this should probably help you out.

Thanks for the reply. My problem is now solved after trying the solution given by Mr.ken. I tried to restore my iPod by connecting it to my iMac and now my device is not getting freezed out. I would once again like to thank you for your kind help. Even others who are getting the same problem can go for the same solution as it is really a good one.
