SolidWorks 2010 Incompatible With Intel Integrated Graphics

Hello friends, I have a laptop which is of Lenovo. It is Lenovo T410 with Intel HD graphics having driver version 8.15.10.2182, and having the operating system Windows 7 with 64 bit. CPU is of Intel core i5. Now I am trying attempt to run solid works 2010 sp4. As soon as run it, it displays the error message and quite the program. Solid works 2010 does not support integrated graphics. Solid Works will run under the generic windows VGA driver but in this case my displays lose functionality including multiple monitors etc. Does anyone have the knowledge of getting solid works 2010 or any other program to work with Intel graphics? Can I make use of the graphic card emulator to spoof the Solid Works?

I am also having the very same problem which you have! I am the user of HP laptop. HP (compact) 6710b having the configuration core 2 Duo processor and having the chipset of Intel 965 express. This is the very first time I am not able to run the software. I usually make use of Solid Works but at a very reduced performance level. If you get the answer reply me as soon as possible. I had checked with the solid works site and I does not see any of the Intel video chipsets are supported. I am very sure there may some are the other way. Let me know.

I don’t have the any kind of solution for it and about the solid works I was helpless to know about it. I also speak with the vendor of the Solid works and yours laptop which is being used by you is one of the common business laptop. Vendor said that solid works expects engineers to have more powerful workstation. I not think that the solid works had quite worked for the people in the modern world. Solid works is incompatible to Intel integrated graphics.

Re: SolidWorks 2010 Incompatible With Intel Integrated Graphics

I am considering upgrading a Compaq Presario 6000 (circa 2004) to run Solidworks 2010. The Personal computer is running Microsoft XP with 32-bit with service Pack 3, and has an Intel Pentium 4 2.00 GHz processor and 2Gb DDR 2100 RAM, all on a Compaq 07E8h motherboard with the Intel i845G chipset. The graphics controller is the integrated Intel 82845G/GL with 48Mb of memory, which I would like to upgrade. The video requirements for SW 2010 are for a certified OpenGL graphics card. Does anybody know of an '08 to '10 nVidia or ATI card that would work with this chipset?
