Hinge defect in my macbook air

Hello,
I have a macbook air and i fell that it is having the defects with the hinge. I wanted to know that do can i replace my hinge with the apple. Is there any such procedure? I have purchased it just 4 months ago. Today when i was closing the screen, then it made a crack noise and even the hinge moved. Is this cracking sound a normal? Do any one have some idea related with this problem and can you provide me some solution for this. I would look for your reply, so please help me out.

I think that you will require to contact to the apple support team, because your machine is still in the warranty period. You try to make contact with them and get your problem discussed with them. My MacBook air cracked, when i opened it today. I am not able to close as my left hinge cracked. My macbook is just 7 months older, so i am not able to understand why i am facing this problem. How suddenly my hinge broke? Can anyone suggest me some solution on this problem. Please recommend your advice to me so that i can fix this out.

I have made the contact with the apple support team, with the help of number which you provided. I explained them my problem in details and now they are planning to replace my macbook air with a new one. They are even not charging any money from me. I am very much happy as i am getting new machine. Thanks for providing me this solution.
