The new MacBook Air sports a large Multi-Touch trackpad with no button that allows you to click anywhere. It also recognizes the pinch, scanning and rotation that adjust the image, zoom in on text or browse a photo album. Use sweeping and sweeping four fingers up or down in expose, and scanning to the left or right to switch between active applications. Or the new scan with three fingers to go from one window to another. The 17-inch MacBook Pro is the largest and most powerful laptop Apple. With its unibody (one piece) aluminum, it features a design, finish and impressive strength. This is undoubtedly one of the machines the most luxurious of the moment, what is confirmed quickly in use.

Apple would have in the pipeline, a new model that would present the particularity of offering an external optical drive to lighten the machine while traveling and more importantly reducing its bulk. In all likelihood, the official announcement is expected to be January 15 next, the opening day of Macworld 2011. It also seems that Apple is preparing to equip some of these models a trackpad with the revolutionary multi-touch technology. These rumors are based in fact on the patent Apple filed previously.

MacBook Air includes a large trackpad with multi-touch technology. With a simple gesture of the fingers (pinching, sliding or rotation), you can zoom in on text, advance through a photo album or adjust an image. This mode of tactile interaction, successful on iPhone and iPod touch, now extends to a family member MacBook. First, it is possible to buy an external optical drive (89 euros) to connect via USB port decidedly sought! The solution was joking, but let's face it, speed is not always the rendezvous. It is thus necessary, for example, about one hour and forty to install Mac OS X through it. The second reason, Apple suggests using trickery and the CD / DVD drive of another computer (PC or Mac) connected to the same network.

The advantage of such a system is obviously its small size compared to a conventional SSD coupled to an optical reader. It thus becomes possible to mount in a standard notebook optical drive, SSD and HDD, Or to make phones more compact, with only a 5.25 "slim. If you are interested HyDrive, you still ask in advance about its compatibility with your laptop: The device uses a SATA port multiplier to be able to display two storage units on a single SATA channel, which is not necessarily compatible with all SATA controllers.

Under the Macbook, 10 screws put themselves between you and the inside of the machine. Once removed, you have access to the battery on which a message warns you of the unfortunate consequences of your actions (which are not supported by the guarantee) and recommends that you go through an authorized agent. Besides the latter, which takes a lot of space, and the SSD chip (probably the Wi-Fi) are also there. On edges of the device, there is a door that opened, gives you access to: a stereo mini jack, USB port and a Mini Display Port video output. It is very short. To supplement this meager array, Apple includes in the package a USB to RJ45 (100 Megabit) and offers an optional external DVD burner.

No optical drive as standard, but only as an option at a price of 89 euros. However, Apple introduced an original concept for the installation of software "via WiFi, you just insert a CD / DVD from a Mac computer with a network drive, then see it appear in the Finder's Macbook Air. It thus becomes possible to install the software on the Macbook Air directly via WiFi. Note that it is also possible through the use of assistant Macbook Air to relaunch the same way you install Leopard. Recall that the device battery is directly sealed in its shell. It is therefore not interchangeable with a simple user intervention. In case of technical problems, but Apple offers the possibility to change the battery in the Macbook Air for 139 euros if it is needed during "out of warranty." Note that option "Apple Care" for passing the 1-year warranty to 3 years is priced at 319 euros on the purchase.
