    Acer 6920G DVD error

    I just bought an Acer Aspire 6920G and I noticed that the DVD does not work, or rather runs but does not load the CD-DVD even if you go to My Computer icon does not even appear on the CD!! Since, I have not installed any application till now (using another lappy for work). So I think that there should be no issues of virus. I am not sure whether restoring to factory settings will help me.?! Please tell me something to resolve my issues.

    • Your CD or DVD Drive does not read or write and is shown as disabled
    • The media in your CD or DVD drive cannot be read
    • The media cannot be written to by your CD or DVD drive
    • You receive one of the following errors:
      • A class specific or device specific driver is missing or corrupt
      • A CD or DVD drive cannot be found or is not connected
      • The CD or DVD drive is experiencing a problem that prevents it from working properly
      • The CD or DVD drive is not accessible via an assigned drive letter

    Ok, on the Acer page is for the drivers to download a file called eRecovery, so you should actually can access the recovery partition on. Otherwise, the glue is still with product key on the notebook? Then you can use the notebook just touched down again, you need only a operating system cd of the previous operating system with which it was delivered. I think Windows Vista home premium. Invite you then the drivers for the notebook down to then install directly to.

    That with the eRecovery download I've already tried .Exe setup which worked but unfortunately not properly. I fortunately still with my own Acer laptop Recovery CD's created and then the other Laptop System installed this. Luckily now everything works fine. No more problems or the like. Only now is still in Device Manager 3 conflicts listed with unknown hard .... I'm already on to consider whether I of the Acer site listed to download and install any drivers ...
