Keyboard lags a lot on Dell Studio 1747

I have a Dell Studio 1747 laptop and the problem is with the keyboard as it is not working well. I have installed Windows 7 to the system. The keyboard lags while processing the task. I do not know what could have been the issue. Please help me out so that I can work well and then process out for the change which will be better and needed.
