iPhone 5 Will Use Qualcomm Chipset?

The iPhone 5, the first smartphone from Apple will be the be with the fast 4G network (also as LTE known ) compatible , thus offering mobile speeds surfing by up to 50 megabits per second. Interestingly this fact becomes particularly when you consider that the mobile operator Vodafone is currently developing its LTE networks and probably act next year as well as the distributor of the Apple iPhone. Mobile Internet with lightning speed would be on the iPhone 5 at Vodafone so no problem. I want to ask you guys that will apple be using the Qualcomm Chipset in an iPhone 5 too or not?

Just recently , the mobile division of Infineon Intel was sold. Now threatened with the loss of a major customer . Since the first iPhonde are the baseband processor of the Apple smartphone from Infineon. Also in the iPad the Infineon chips are used. In future , this could be different. Qualcomm has very large market shares in the area of CDMA chips. For Infineon , this may mean harsh cuts. A baseband chip will cost around $ 13 to book. The turnover of Infineon has been made with chips for the iPhone , is therefore estimated at over half a billion U.S. dollars.

Apple's next iPhone support both 3G and 4G networks ( LTE). The Company will probably sit on a new supplier for the chip. according to which Qualcomm, in future will be responsible for the radio chip in the iPhone. Already in the planned (but not confirmed ) iPhone for the CDMA network of the U.S. mobile wireless operator Verizon is the technology from Qualcomm used. The iPhone 5, may spark thanks to a new chip , both in the present current UMTS networks and in the future LTE networks.
