Both the media centers are providing the advance features but the problem for many of these users is the lack of audio or video output options inside Windows 7 Media Center which is over come by XBMC Media Center (Xbox Media Center). Window 7 media center provide BluRay support and stability. XBMC provide:
    • Plugins... XBMC can go on Hulu, youtube, google video, the weather channel
    • XBMC has a plugin that allows certain kinds of Live TV interactions as well, including recording.
    • Skinning...we can skin XBMC without having to hack the hell out of it

where as Win7 MC does not provide any of the features as such.

XBMC has certain pro and cons as below:
    • Pro:It is Very customizable, plays anything thrown at it, offers tons of video/audio options that can be adjusted mid movie , very slick library interface ,ability to collect several video locations into one alphabetical list.
    • Con: Doesn't support hardware decoding, sometimes has bugs also does not support tuner.
    • it's not made by Microsoft.
    • If there's something you want XBMC to do that it doesn't...you can submit a request. If it's a good idea it will be implemented.
