You should try Toshiba HW setup utility. You can download it from internet. Toshiba HW setup utility is a free download and available on Toshiba website. This software is used to add, update, install and setup the Toshiba Notebook. Some of my friends were also having the same problem and solved their problem. This can solve your issue too. Try it.

Have you stored the Hard disk to its original factory? You can use Toshiba recovery media. If you have not did it then you can do it now by following the steps below.

    1. Turn off your computer
    2. Power on it and hold key 0 while it is switching on.
    3. Select windows 7, if your system offers you for that otherwise you can skip to step 4.
    4. You will see a warning message that all your data will be deleted and rewritten. select yes to continue.
    5. Now you will see Toshiba recovery wizard.Select Recovery of Factory Default
    6. Software and click on next.
    7. On next screen select Recover to out-of-box state and again click on next.
    8. You will see a confirmation message about the data to be lost and overwritten.
    9. Click next to proceed wizard completes then it will show you will see the message that internal storage drive has been recovered.
    10. Now you can press any key to restart your computer.

Re: U505-S2008 enable/disable touchpad button problem

It seems to be a hardware problem. Your button for enabling and disabling the touchpad itself may be damaged. Have you bought it recently? I mean is it in warranty period. If that is the case then you can directly go to your dealer and ask them for solution. If they are also not ready to help you then you can visit the manufacturer's website and complain for this issue. They will solve the problem. Good Luck
