Blank screen after BIOS on my Toshiba laptop

I have a rebooted the Toshiba laptop and now after you load all devices displays a black screen with a flashing dash in the upper right and the hard disk does not work. I tried to read some article about it but I could not solve my problem. On this site I read that can be caused by a virus that modifies the file boot.ini , but not my case since I checked this file onto your PC with a live cd and is not altered.

This has happened to me a few years ago and it was just a virus. Try to restore your laptop and Windows CD and do a scan of your hard drive immediately. Better yet would first scan the disk from another PC maybe, but not to infect the eye. Delete all the viruses which are detected to get this problem fixed.

Hello everyone I have a PC with Windows XP PC turns on the bios and after the bios screen black. If I press F8 nothing happens if I start the Windows CD to verify hardware and get the black screen appears how to solve. I think you need to change the boot.ini in some way makes sense if you can access a DOS emulation and peripherals such as floppy and CD-ROMs are seen and managed. Tell me what makes me think rather than the hard disk is thought to take a sufficient rest period ever. If the problem is not solved yet then simply take help from the manual.

Try a bios reset. Which is difficult to explain and it depends on your motherboard, in some cases (but I think your case is slightly different) there is a reset button in the other you have to act directly on the jumper the position of the jumpers are on the mother board instruction manual. The problem should be fixed.

I tried resetting the bios, follow the steps which are listed below

1. Procedure to the letter that
2. Unplugging the power plug from the motherboard.
3. Remove the battery.
4. Moved the jumper and little bee about 10 minutes.
5. Put back the jumper.
6. Referred the battery.
7. Restart and press Delete waiting to enter the bios.
