    HP C4780 Driver will not install: Fatal Error

    We just bought a HP C4780 printer, we want to install Windows 7 , freshly installed. When installing the CD (drivers and software 10.3) a window tells us that we use Windows 7 and we propose to continue , what we do.Then a moment there is a error "Windows Installer ( msiexec ) with an exit code 1601, install the program we propose to generate a report and de- installed completely. Please help.

    Follow these steps to disable startup programs , remove the HP software , then reinstall .
    # Click the Windows icon ( ) In the Windows taskbar .
    # Enter msconfig in the field Search Then press Entrance . Window MSCONFIG opens .
    # Select the tab Start-up click Disable All to disable any programs that launch when your computer starts .
    # Select the tab Services , check Hide all Microsoft services , click Disable All Then click OK .
    # Click Restart to make these changes when you restart the computer.

    If you still have the HP software CD that came with your device, you can insert it into the drive, then follow the instructions that appear on the screen to remove the software . If you do not have the CD , remove the software by following these steps.
    1. Unplug the USB cable connecting your device to the computer.
    2. In the Windows taskbar , click the Windows icon ( ), then Panel . Window Panel opens.
    3. Open the list of installed programs and delete the software . Click Programs . In the list of installed programs, click on the HP device , click Uninstall .
    4. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to finish uninstalling the software.

    Remove temporary files and folders
    1. In the Windows taskbar , click the Windows icon ( ) , click All programs , Then Accessories On System Tools and finally Disk Cleanup .
    2. Select the hard disk , which is usually C: \, then click OK . The Disk Cleanup utility analyzes the hard disk, then gives you a list of items you can delete .
    3. Select the following , then click OK.
    * Temporary Internet Files.
    * Downloaded Program.
    * Basket.
    * Temporary files.

    Follow these steps to download and install the latest version of the complete software from the HP Web site instead of reinstalling the software from the CD.
    1. Unplug the USB cable from the product and the computer (if the cable is connected ) .
    2. Put the product on.
    3. Open a new window to go to the page ofObtaining Software and Drivers :
    Click the right mouse button on this link Obtaining Software and Drivers Then click Open in a new window .
    4. If prompted , enter your product number and click Following . You may also select your model from a list of similar products.
    5. Select your operating system and click Following .
    6. Click the plus sign ( ) Next Pilot , Then click the driver that you want to download . If you need help making your choice, please see the information in the table above .

    Check the steps:
    1. In the Windows taskbar , click the Windows icon ( ).
    2. Enter msconfig in the field Search And press Entrance . MSCONFIG window opens .
    3. Select the tab General , check Normal start , click Apply Then click Close .
    4. Click Restart to make these changes when you restart the computer.
    5. Restart the computer .
