SSD Toolbox No Optimization due to Volume Shadow Copy Service data

I found a discussion which states error for Intel SSD X25 drives. The post says that a user was affected with the No Optimization due to Volume Shadow Copy Service data error on the drive. I am going to buy one soon and I was looking out for some positive and negative points for the same. What is the error about and why it came. Is there is a fix for the same available.

There is a hot fix for that. You can just download and run the same. There is patch and the error is most often on 64 bit operating system. If you just use the same on the regular system for data work then this is not needed much. Other than this the drive is just awesome iwth really good performance. With Windows 7, the inclusion of SSD has been greatly improved.

Re: SSD Toolbox No Optimization due to Volume Shadow Copy Service data

The latest version of Microsoft's operating system adds a new command called TRIM which is now supported by new tools from Intel, namely Toolbox SSD and SSD Optimizer . This command enables the SSD to keep their performance long-term, which was not necessarily the case with previous systems. Previously, this resulted in a significant loss of performance in reading and writing data as and when they are used. In addition, updated Firmware for the SSD X25-M is available and can take full advantage of Windows 7.

Before you buy a SSD you must check the same by performances. According to the manufacturer, the flow would be 170 MB / s read and 98 MB / s write. The first version of some drives is accused of 118 Mb / s Read and 40MB / s write. I am using OCZ Core V2 which come in four models of 30 GB, 60 GB, 120 GB and 250 GB and the same feature a mini-USB 2.0 which will update the device for better compatibility with future platforms.

The Solid State Drive that can operates entirely on a different mode of operation. The information is stored directly on non-volatile memory chips. They are retained even without power. The advantages of this approach are numerous. There are no more moving parts which makes them more resistant to shocks. Indeed, the memory cells are used to wear each reading or writing.

There is no big thing in the intel ssd. You can go for the same. The reason for the error is moving the ssd drive on different computer with a installed operating system inside it. So that makes the drive unstable. If you just use it for your regular back up or on raid partition. It is a good SSD which you can use for. The NAND memory used for the SSD is much more reliable and it is also cheaper

Re: SSD Toolbox No Optimization due to Volume Shadow Copy Service data

The high capacity hard disks have a higher average transfer of about 100MB / s with an access time of 15-17 ms. The cheapest offer SSD 120MB / s read speed (80MB / s write) and an access time of 0.1ms. Top SSD flirt with the 250 MB / s read (220 MB / s write) and always 0.1ms access time. An elegant solution for this is that is is very powerful computer at a lower cost is to buy a SSD but performance capacity to install the operating system.
