Lenovo ThinkPad W700 for editing

I am planning to update the HDD of Lenovo ThinkPad W700 but before tat i wanted to ask something. What if i will buy a SSD with the Ultrabay HDD Caddy so that i can add the W700 raid0 for editing by two more 500GB HD but not sure that the Ultrabay will provide me the enough transfer speed or not.
