Garmin GPS Map 76 Screen goes blank and locks up

I am facing problems with the Garmin GPS Map 76. I have recently purchased that and hence not knowing more about it. Actually the problem is that it's screen turns blank many times and on top of that it also gets locked up.!! Is there any solution to fix this problem.?? Since, I am new to this device, detailed information is expected from your side. Any other information related to the Garmin GPS Map 76 would be helpful.

Many such issues has been solved by downloading the application known as 'Mapsource' from the official site of Garmin. You should keep in mind that it will not install unless you are having the previous version of it. There is a trick for doing this, first you will have to install the Training Center Program of Garmin, then the Mapsource update will install.
