HP Pavilion DV6850ee Notebook does not start

Hello there, I have an HP pavilion DV6850ee notebook which is not starting at all. When the power button is pressed, the system starts reading the hard disk but then shuts down again. Is this some hardware issue? Sometimes the laptop shows the login screen of Windows but then randomly shuts down. Can anybody here provide me with a solution? Any help is highly appreciated.

I think the hard drive of the laptop is not working properly and hence the system is not booting up. Remove the hard drive of the laptop and connect it to some other computer and see if it gets detected or not. Download the disk check utility and run it on computer. After testing the hard drive, if there are some problems with the hard drive then get it replaced.

Try resetting the laptop to the default settings and then check if the laptop is working properly or not. Every laptop has a reset button which when pressed restores the factory default settings on the laptop. Once the laptop is restored to factory settings, you will not face the same problem again.

Check if the cooling fan on the computer is working properly. For the laptop to work properly, the cooling fan on the computer should work properly. If the cooling fan is not working then the laptop will not start as there would be a risk for high temperature. Hence check if the cooling fan is in working condition or not. If the cooling fan is covered with dust then clean it and see if the laptop starts or not.

The best solution to your problem would be that you get the laptop checked at its official service center. If the laptop is under warranty then taking the laptop to the official service center would be better idea as it will be serviced for free. Any fault or repair for the product under warranty is done for free. So take the laptop to the nearest HP service center and get it checked.

Remove the RAM chips from the respective slots and clean the connecting terminal of the RAM chips and then connect it in the respective slots. Try booting the computer using single RAM chips at a time. The final solution for the problem will be to replace the ram chips and then check the performance.
