    Incompatibility problem with E55 keyboard.

    I am facing a tremendous amount of problem with the E55 QWERT key board, half of the key are not working, because of which many of the programs are not working. Maximum problem is related to the digit keys. Well there is no two key combinations for typing digits like E71. I think something is changed in the key scan code of the number key. Any related reply for the E55 keyboard incompatibility problem will be appreciated.

    I am also facing the similar problem with my latest E55 Garmin Mobile XT. Sometimes it is not possible to zoom the map and to find the address, top of that half of the QWERTY key’s are not working with to opera mini web browser. It is very difficult to write down the web address. I will be waiting for the solution to this problem.

    That model of Nokia mobile phone is not fully compatible with the software; I have heard that Nokia is going to release a new version of the software for solving this problem incompatibility. Currently I am not having a clear idea when Nokia is going to release the software but it will be very soon. Do not worry you will not be having this problem for much time.

    According to me, it is unacceptable that Nokia has released the mobile phone with the half working QWERTY keyboard on E55 and lot of programs are incompatible with this mobile phone layout. Well we can just hope that the new firmware will be able to solve this problem keyboard compatibility. May be the firmware will be having the function which will make the keyboard to work like normal T9 keyboard.

    Somebody have suggest me to download the MagicKeys for solving this incompatibility problem of QWERTY keyboard. Then I have downloaded this utility but it has solved only half the problem I means still I am unable to zoom out in map with the key E->1 and also unable to type the number of house such as 1. I am also desperately waiting for the release of the firmware from Nokia.

    Finaly it works with magic key

    here's the codes for the keys:
    GmXT
    Volume Up -> 3
    162 -> 51
    Volume Down -> 1
    163 -> 49

    Nokia Maps
    Volume Up -> left Fn ( * )
    162 -> 24
    Volume Down -> left Shift ( # )
    163 -> 18

    Nokia Maps
    24 = *
    18 = #
    GmXT
    49 = 1
    51 = 3
    ZooM
    162 = Volume Up
    163 = Volume Down

    My phone is hacked/unlocked but this has nothing to do with MK.
    Nothing special if I remember right
    MK. is set to start on boot
    but after rebooting the phone
    first thing to do is start nokia/ovi maps
    playng with new zoom
    and close aplication.
    Then garmin zoom will work until next reboot of the phone
    Mkey ver 1.0
    The key settings in pic are
    1 & 3 , * & # , volume up/down
    Try these settings to make it work then adjust it how do U like.

    I had found some information from the support center of the phone. I found that his type of handset has lots of issue with the compatibility of keyboard with the software. The latest version of the Symbain based software might give you some support for the same. I a not sure about the latest release for the software.

    I made exactly the same as you done. But for some reason, MK won't work. I tried it on few other apps with the same effect. What i'm doing wrong? Is there any special option in MK that must be set to get it working? My phone isn't hacked. It even don't works on NokiaMaps
